Customers purchasing a whole lamb share have the option to add a bark-tanned sheepskin from their animal at a discounted price.

As a natural product, each sheepskin is one-of-a-kind. Please expect some variation in size, color, and markings

Bark tanning is a traditional, eco-friendly tanning method that uses natural tree bark tannins instead of harsh chemicals. The result is a durable, soft, and naturally finished hide that will last. I tan my own sheepskins here on farm.

Details:

• Available exclusively to whole lamb share customers

• This will be an Icelandic Sheep hide. Lambs this year vary in colouring from black to grey to brown or black gradient.

• Discounted add-on price (vs. purchasing a sheepskin separately)

• Tanning takes time. Sheepskins are ready approximately 4-6 weeks after the butcher date

• We’ll reach out directly once your sheepskin is ready to arrange pickup
